After serving for 13 years in ministry at a church in North Carolina, Pastor Myron and Julie Scott felt called to step into a new season of ministry. In 2013, they moved to Gilbert, Arizona, to help revitalize a struggling church that was facing foreclosure. When they arrived, the church had dwindled to almost nothing, but they believed God had a greater vision for what the church could become. With faith, prayer, and a committed community, the work of revitalization began. In 2017, the church officially became Compassion Church, reflecting the heart of its mission—to love people, serve the community, and help people find and follow Jesus. Over the years, God has continued to grow and strengthen the church. In 2023, Compassion Church reached an exciting milestone by becoming fully self-supporting as a church. Today, Compassion Church is a life-giving church where people can experience God, build meaningful relationships, and grow in their faith. Pastor Myron serves as the Lead Pastor, bringing more than two decades of pastoral experience and a deep passion for helping people follow Jesus. Julie serves as the Ministry Director, overseeing ministry operations. She leads and supports several key areas including women’s ministry, kids ministry, and Compassion Prep Academy, helping create environments where families and individuals can grow in their faith and find community.
